Thailand and Taiwanese Police uniform, which looks better?

After living in Taiwan for the past year and a half, I am still not used to my life here. There are so many things I still have to get use to. Just a couple of months ago, I bought my new50cc scooter, and loving it! I am still driving without a license, so I always have to keep my eye wide open for cops. (Cops here sometimes stop people randomly just to check for license) The other day, I ran through one red light plus I didn’t have my safety helmet on. From a mile back, I saw the multi-color electric light sparkling. Right, then and there I knew the police was going to stop me. In my head, I was calculating how much I’d have to pay. Driving without license= 6000NT (about 200 US dollars), Didn’t stop for the light 3000NT (100 US dollars), and no helmet= 600NT (30US dollars). I slowed down a little, and was in panic. I knew I was going to be in big trouble- no excuse.
The cops did stopped me, and questioned me countlessly. I had to beg him, and made up some story why I had to run the light, and without my helmet. Luckily, he decided not to take a penny from me! I told him that his uniform looked a lot better than the ones from Thailand. I guess I made his day for complementing his uniform. He gave me a warning, and said “I hope I don’t see you again.”
