At exactly 8 o’clock, on August 8^th, 2008 the Olympic Opening Ceremony began with the largest number ever to attend an Olympic Games.  Chinese believe that picking the right numbers can affect one’s fortune. To a Chinese person, the number “8″ relates to prosperity and the number “4″ is relates to death. Which is probably why the Olympic date is set on 08/08/08 at 8:00, with all the 8’s it will definitely bring them good luck!
