As you read this post, be sure to notice the outfits the Binlang Girls are wearing, and let me know which one you would buy your Binlang Girl!

For those who don’t know, “Binlang” in Mandarin means Betel Nut. It is a name given to the seed of the Areca catechu tree. Areca catechu is the botanical name of a species of palm tree that grows in parts of the tropical Pacific, Asia, and Africa. More commonly known as betel palm or betel nut tree, it can grow to a height of 65-90 feet. It is very common to see Binglang stalls located on the side of the streets in Taiwan. I see a lot of the trees by my grandmother’s house. They usually have them plant in a warm, rural area,so that they are easy to grow and require little maintenance and care for many years ahead.

In order to make money, you will see a lot of girls wearing sexy outfits for attention. It is a competition for the Binlang ladies to wear less clothing as possible to get their customers awarenesses. Betel nut girls are usually from working-class backgrounds. Some are secondary-school dropouts; others may have been forced into the work by their families, in which they are the primary wage-earners.It’s not a surprise to see these girls running around in their bikinis, or mini tight shorts with a halter top. Even at the coldest time of the year, these girls are still wearing “nothing!” Here are some photos of these Binglang girls. You decide, which has the best Binlang outfit?!

Here’s a photo of Ivy modeling in her lantern sleeve dress. Ivy, in two different color dark blue and gray. I really like her dress because its not too short, and actually pretty elegant looking don’t you think? But, I don’t like the idea of white knee socks with this dress. Simple is just enough. This dress with short heels will match, or a nice flat sandals will be perfect too! I wouldn’t mind wearing out on a dinner date, or on a casual day. Oh, and I gotta comment on her hair….its what I call perfect. I love the length, the color and the curls! What do you think of Ivy’s fashion taste for this coming spring? Do you prefer the dark blue dress or the gray divine looking dress?

One of the best night market in Bangkok is Suan Lum Night Bazaar. I will never forget to pass by Suan Lum every time I visit Thailand. At around 7:00pm is the best time to go- where most of the stalls and vendors are open selling various products from local craft to antique. Not only do they have the shoppings, you will also see plenty of restaurants and food stalls. A very good place to hangout at night enjoying the live band!!

Suan Lum Night Bazaar in Thailand, Bangkok

This trip back to Bangkok, of course I went to Suan Lum and stopped at a shop called “Muzina.” Very unique shop, selling hand-made products, and designs all product by the owner herself. The picture below is the owner of the shop (very nice lady). Her T-shirt, pants, belt and sandals are all made and designed by herself. She was so busy with the customers, so I didn’t get a chance to interview her. But, I was in love with her shop and her style of clothing and stayed in there for hours! Oh and the sandals that she’s wearing- I bought a pair for myself too!

I tried these pair of glasses on that made me look kind of nerdy. I should have bought them for my next job interview! (No worries, I’ll go back to Suan Lum again!)

It’s almost Valentines Day!  Probably one of my favorite time of the year. Even though its just a “Hallmark” holiday…to some extent I still kind of agree with that, but Valentines day is just a day to share our love with the one we love~ Are you all excited about that? Do you know what your plans are for valentines? What’s your romantic date going to be like? And, are you having trouble deciding what to wear on that special day?

If you are going out on a romantic dinner, here is the dress that you should be considering! Here is J-Lo wearing mint-green dress. I am in love with her dress, and I think it’d look perfect with my new heels I bought the other day. What do you think of this dress for my valentines date?

Jennifer Lopez Dress

I don’t like socks in heels. They look horrible.

What do you think the best Valentines date would be? There are so many things to do, such as going to parties and discos. Cuddle in bed, and watch movies. However, instead of spending money on chocolates, and dozens of teddy bears I already have, or roses that’ll just die. I think a perfect way to spend valentines day is to spend a nice evening on the beach!

I would like to visit Phi Phi island since I have never been there before. And it certainly looks like a Valentines Day spot to spend it with your lover. The  beautiful island that is filled with love is located in Thailand- perfect for a romantic date!

Phi Phi island

Not only do couples goto Phi Phi for a nice vacation, Phi Phi has been in the movies and a conversation for all travelers. It is also where most bikini advertisements takes place. One of a well-known bikini brand in Thailand brought their models to Phi Phi island last week and had their professional photos taken too! Check it out:

Besides wearing a elegant dress on Valentines day,I just bought a pair of nice bikini for my valentines trip.  I think her bikini looks really sexy, and matches her skin color well. The bikini top pushes her breasts up to make it look firm. And thats what girls with small breasts should wear! Or wearing something with stripes will make your breasts looks bigger too!

Sexy Japanese Lingerie Girl

What do you think of the latest Triumph’s bra that is feature with a pair of cups that resemble bowls of rice and miso soup, and a set of  chopsticks that tuck into either side? It is designed to boost awareness of enviornmental issues promoting the use of reusable chopsticks instead of the disposable wooden kind.

It is common to use the disposable wooden chopsticks in restaurants to save time for dish washing in Taiwan, Japan and China. Japan is probably one of the largest users of wooden chopsticks among the three countries. It is estimated that 23 million of trees are cut off for the use of wooden chopsticks. And China has recently announced their plan to stop the export of disposable chopsticks to reduce the deforestation.

So, here we have the young Japanese model carrying a personal reusable chopsticks. And it is now a trendy thing for girls to have a reusable chopsticks in their purses! Do you carry chopsticks in your handbags too? And would you wear this bra on a daily basis?

How to Apply Geisha Makeup?

Geisha Japanese Sexy Girl

Ever wonder how to apply make like in the movies of “Memoirs of a Geisha?” No, Geisha are not prostitutes! But “Geisha” is a female, professional Japanese entertainer and hostess. It is believed that Geisha started wearing white face makeup to establish themselves in society. Just like here in Taiwan, a white face is a sign of nobility and wealth. Some historians believe that Geisha started wearing white because the beautiful women in the west had white faces.

Make up professional Geisha

Well, learning to apply a Makeup like Geisha isn’t too difficult, but it does take practice. Just like how it works with anything, practice makes perfect. Let me take you through these steps:

  • Before applying anything on your face, you need to clean and dry your face and apply face moisturizer.( moisturizer helps protect skin from makeup and prevent from being dry.)
  • Apply a white foundation or a cakey white face paint to your face. (You don’t want the makeup to be too thick or too stark. Remember, you’re trying to be a geisha, not a clown!)
  • Use an ivory foundation and then covering it with a white powder. (This should help moderate the color.)
  • Draw new, thin, dark eyebrows above your existing eyebrows.
  • Wait for foundation to dry, then put red blush on your cheeks. You want your checks to look full. To achieve this look, apply the blush to the round part of your check rather than lightly brushing it over your check bones.
  • Eyes: outlining your entire eye with a thick eyeliner.
  • Apply a dark eye shadow from your eye up to your eyebrow line.
  • Put at least three coats of mascara on your eyelashes!
  • Apply a dark red lipstick to your lips and viola.

Paula Dress Japanese Fashion Style

Today, I went to a restaurant called “Pandora” in Chunghua county for dinner with my friends, and I had the best steak in town! Paula, who looked the best in her outfit didn’t allow me to take a photo of her. But I finally persuaded her to do so, and I promised to make her look good! (And she does!) So here is my final picture of Paula in her new blue, striped line, Japanese long sleeves dress. Her cute dress from a Japanese brand called “Gozo”, long sleeves, but a little short for winter! Luckily the weather today wasn’t as cold as the day before. She wore her favorite green Lacoste shoe, with her long, knee length black socks that makes her legs look taller. I took a closer picture of her shoe that I’m also thinking about buying. I think this shoe is good when going shopping, or I’d wear it on a casual work day.

I got Yelled at For Wearing My Favorite “Red” Mango Top

First of all, Happy New Year all!!

Last night, I picked out my favorite red Mango jacket I bought two weeks ago and put it on with my blue jeans. It was freezing cold, and I was ready to stay inside to watch “FRIENDS” with my ex-roommate. I stayed in for the count down, and we just had a cozy night! But, before I go in depth about my cozy night, first let me tell you about my food adventure.

Red Mango Sweater

So we took a short walk to the famous Noodle stand in the county. And remember this: I was wearing my new “RED” mango jacket (they keep me so warm!). I walked to a noodles stand to order some take away U-don noodles with hot Miso soup. As I was about to order, the stand lady gave me an evil look and she angrily said “Are you against him or what?! Why are you people so dumb?”For a second, I was stunned and I didn’t know what to say. I looked at her, and look at my friend. Having no idea what she was saying, I ignored and ordered my food. “No, You still haven’t answer my question! Why?” Before I could say anything, she started blabbering about politics which I did not quite get, until my friend whispered in my ears that it was the “RED shirt” that I was wearing. Basically, the color red is now consider a taboo color in the politics. To summarize it up is that there are two different camps associated with particular colors: the former ruling KMT (Kuomintang) Blue camp and the current ruling DPP (Democratic Progressive Party) Green camp. Just recently there has been a protest going on with a large group of protesters wearing the color Red that the President should stand down. I won’t go into the details, but red just means that you are against, and if you were to wear green then you are not against.

Red protestors

I walked away from the noodle stand and decided to eat something else. I didn’t know my Red Mango top would cause me so much trouble! So what about the up coming Chinese New year? What color am I suppose to wear if I will get yelled at for wearing red? If you didn’t know, being in Taiwan, one of the most important holiday is Chinese New Year. It is the biggest holiday celebrated among Chinese people. It is a time when families and friends get together to say goodbye to the old and welcome the new. Homes are decorated with flowers and paper decorations stating wishes of prosperity, good luck, happiness, good fortune, wealth, and longevity for the coming year. Red and gold are very popular colors to decorate with. Red represents power happiness, vitality (and scares away beasts). Gold represents wealth and good fortune. But, what’s going to happen now? Am I going to get in trouble for wearing Red on Chinese New Year?

Let’s see what the guys are wearing on the street of Taiwan. Walking around on the street of Taiwan, I see many fashionable guys. Although sometimes they try too hard, but some of them are OK. The first picture here is TKSC 22 year-old student from Taipei, wearing a “New York” brand hat from his girlfriend, with his red T-shirt from “Skatopia”, Denim from “Lee”, Shoe from “Lakai” and his back pack from “Obey”. I calculated an approximate of his whole outfit, which is around 4500 NT (150Dollars).
