How to Prevent Eye Wrinkles?

Genes:

• Some people age more gracefully than others. While scientists are still searching of how genetics influence the aging process, they are also discovering how much of your lifestyle choices can affect your genes. Your genes only govern 30 percent of how you age; the other 70 percent is up to YOU!

Sun:

• Protect your skin from the sun. This means, wearing sunscreen helps! As you get older, the genes that control inflammation, the production and strength of collagen, and your skin’s ability to retain water begin to behave in a way that encourages the formation of wrinkles.

Antioxidants:

• Eat drink and slather on the antioxidants. When UV rays are absorbed by your skin, they create free radicals, which are volatile molecules. Those free radicals can latch onto your DNA and cause the mutations that cause wrinkles. Antioxidants help your body defend against free radicals. Combat wrinkles by eating foods and drinking beverages that contain antioxidants (pomegranates, acai, blueberries, green tea) and using creams or moisturizers that contain them.

Sunglasses:

• Wear sunglasses regularly when expose to sun. Remember that cheap shades can be harmful to your eyes. However, if you are wearing it as a fashion statement you can go ahead and buy them. To protect your eyes it is best to buy something reliable. Not only will wearing sunglasses protect the delicate skin around your eyes from the sun, but it’ll also help prevent squinting, which directly contributes to wrinkling!

Sleep on your back:

• I try to sleep on my back, however it can be quite difficult since I always toss and turn. But, it is good to sleep on your back because it prevents sleep lines, which can eventually turn into wrinkles!

Quit Smoking:

• Heavy smokers are almost five times more likely to show excessive wrinkling than nonsmokers! No kidding! This is because smoking can damage collagen, and the squinting and lip pursing that comes with smoking directly create wrinkles over time. Smokers, let’s quit before you get these lines under your eyes!

Facial expression:

• More animated expressions mean more creases, and creases eventually become wrinkles. This is quite difficult to do, but try to do away with frowning, eyebrow raising, and squinting. Repeated facial movements lead to wrinkles. At first, the wrinkles will only appear when you make the movement. Over time, the wrinkles will remain there even when your face is relaxed. Stay smiling and continue laughing though! A genuine smile causes crow’s feet around your eyes, but the power of sincere joy against wrinkles may be stronger than the effects of not smiling!

Stay happy:

• Staying happy and having optimistic, laid back life helps prevent wrinkles. At the very least, it’ll help you not care so much about the wrinkles!

Apply eye cream

• Apply moisturizer to the eye area daily. I usually apply my Nu-Skin Intensive Eye Complex every morning and before I sleep.  It helps moisturize dry skin, and prevents getting wrinkles.

Here are steps for applying eye cream:

Step 1: Wash your face and hands. You want to be extra careful when touching the skin around your eyes.

Step 2: Be gentle on your skin. Remember that the area around your eyes is very sensitive.

DO NOT: Rub, scratch or press on the eye area.

Step 3: Put a small drop of eye gel or cream onto your ring finger as it is your weakest finger. You want the least amount of pressure when patting the delicate skin around your eyes.

Step 4: Using a dabbing motion, dot the eye gel or cream around the circumference of your eye, following the natural curve of the bone.

1. Push two fingers against your temple making sure that the skin is tautly stretched. Now open and close your eyes in quick succession. Do it minimum five times a day and see the difference within months.
2. Sit in an upright position with your head held rigidly. Now look straight and then up and down. Do it for at least 10 times. Then switch to looking left and right and do that 10 times as well. During your exercise make sure your head is rigid.

• Apply egg whites to the skin under your eyes.
• Odor-free Castor oil can be applied to the skin under the eyes.
• Empty the contents of 3 Vitamin E capsules into a small bowl. Add to this 2 tsp plain yogurt, 1/2 tsp honey and 1/2 tsp lemon juice. Apply this mixture on the face using a cotton ball. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse.
• A mixture of 1/4 cup comfrey infusion, 1/4 cup witch hazel and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil is effective in treating wrinkles. This can be stored in a clean bottle and applied on affected areas with a cotton ball.
• Gently massage coconut oil on portions of skin prone to wrinkles every night a bedtime.
• A paste of turmeric made with sugarcane juice is great to get rid of wrinkles and slow skin aging.
• Cut a green Thompson seedless grape in half and gently crush it on your face on the wrinkles. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water and let it dry in natural air.
• Rub the core of pineapple on the face and leave it for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off.
• Applying juice of green pineapples and apples on the face daily for 10-15 minutes.

After getting this type of tattoo, food may taste like burnt flesh. Many people looses their appetite, and stops eating for weeks. Wow…I guess this will be my new diet plan??

History of Tongue Tattoo

The only history of tongue tattoo is in the early 1800′s in Hawaii when Queen Kamamalu received a tongue tattoo to show her grief after her mother in law’s death.

How Does it Work?

It is best tattooed with a syringe by injecting the ink under the skin instead of using a tattoo machine. A tattoo machine really shouldn’t be used on the top of the tongue because the tongue is topped with a thick layer of taste buds which can cause problems, but the bottom of the tongue can be tattooed with a tattoo machine since it lacks the taste buds.

Normally use a tool to hold the tongue out. Once the tongue is out, the artist will begin work. The process normally does take very long, as long you hold still and don’t move around.

There is even a safe technique of tattooing, created by Curtis McMurty, that adds flavors such as chocolate, vanilla or garlic to go with the tattoo.

Should You Get a Tongue Tat?

Getting a tattoo in “normal” places should be a well thought-out process. Normally people opt for area for areas that are not visible or where the sun doesn’t shine, but the tongue falls into a category of its own.

Lets see the cons:

1. Too much pain – Is it worth going through all that pain and it is time consuming.
2. Difficulty to speak – actually you won’t be able to speak for a few weeks at all.
3. Ruined taste buds -  you won’t be able to enjoy all the good food! Unless you are going for the diet plan.
4. Rude – it is impolite to stick out your tongue in most cultures, so when will you be showing off your tongue tat?
5. Poor immune system – if you immune system is not strong enough, shouldn’t be getting it.

However, if a tongue tattoo still sounds interesting to you, the first thing to do is find a tattoo artist in your area who is experienced with doing them. Not a lot of tattoo artists are familiar with tongue tattoos, as they are just now beginning to surface.

1. Make sure your tongue is clean and has no infections and ulcers. If there is any, then give some time to heal.
2. Tattoo care is as important as tattoo art. So when you go to a tattoo studio, see to it that your tattoo artist uses disposable gloves and autoclaved equipments to avoid any infection. Equipments must be disinfected before use.
3. Tongue tattoos take around 2-3 weeks to heal as tongue is a soft and tender organ. In the initial days, the tongue will feel extremely sensitive and ticklish and at times numb too. Slight pain is also felt when the crust of the skin on the tongue grows.

Guys and Ladies, Are you frustrated with razor burn and dry skin after your daily shaving routine? For several years, I’ve tried so many different kinds of razors, shaving cream and aftershaves lotion to see what I could do about this problem. I realized that Commercial shaving creams are not only expensive but it also contains harsh chemicals that are bad for you and can dry out your skin. Finally I chose to shave with Olive Oil! Yes, Olive Oil where it can be found in your kitchen.

What is Olive Oil?

Olive oil is a fruit oil obtained from the olive (Olea europaea; family Oleaceae), a traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin. Olive oil contains vitamin E, which is good for your skin.

Types of Olive Oil

If you don’t have Olive Oil, it’s not hard to purchase them. You do not have to use high quality olive oil. You can buy the inexpensive low grade olive oil that doesn’t taste very good from any local supermarket to shave with!

Instructions for Shaving with Olive Oil

1.Pour some olive oil into a cup or glass.

2.After showering, dry your legs and pour out the olive oil from the glass and rub into your skin.

3.Dip your razor in the olive oil then slowly slide the razor up your legs very lightly to avoid ingrown hair. Be sure to go slow if this is your first time.

4.Olive oil is a great lubricant and will protect your skin from nicks and cuts while you shave.

5.You won’t need to apply any aftershave lotion since the oil is naturally moisturizing your skin. But you can apply additional olive oil after you shave if you think your skin is too dry.

6.Once you’re finished shaving, you can help preserve the life of your razor and prevent it from rusting easily by dipping it into olive oil. The oil will lubricate the metal and naturally protect the surface.

•Wood Furniture Polish: Wipe with a teaspoon of olive oil and a soft rag. Add a bit of vinegar of citrus juice to bulk up the cleaning power, and add a fresh scent.

•Shine stainless steel and brass: Rub a bit of olive oil on a clean rag to prevent streaks, corrosion, and tarnish.

•Exfoliate your face and hands: Rub your skin with olive oil, then scrub with sugar or coarse salt, and rinse.

•As you bathe: Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to your running bath water. You’ll be amazed when you towel off.

•Remove makeup: Dab a bit under your eyes, on your cheeks and forehead, then wipe with a damp cloth.

•Cure an earache: Very carefully, use a cotton swab to apply olive oil to the outside ear cavity to help with earaches and excess wax.

•Lice treatment: Apply olive oil to your youngster’s hair, and leave on for at least 40 minutes. Shampoo twice, and then apply a preventative.

•Stop a throat tickle: Take a sip of olive oil to stop the itchy flicker that is making you cough.

Rainy day in Taiwan

A crack of thunder and a bolt of lightning strike just above me, and the rain came down like a waterfall. My make-up was smudged by the heavy rain, and the mud splattered up above my knees. I knew I had to find a place to stop, because the wind almost blew me away. I carefully stopped at a gas station; I could barely see what’s in front of me. I knew then I had to turn back, but with this rain it seemed impossible.

I took out my phone from my scooter trunk to call my students to cancel today’s lesson. As I waited for the rain to stop, I realized I wasn’t even wearing my rain boots. My precious black flats were soaked up from the rain and dirt. Looking through my scooter’s mirror, my eyeliner and mascara were dripping down my face. I felt so annoyed, and just wanted to be in the shower.  Finally, the rain was slowing down a bit, I started riding back home. It was already flooding which makes it even harder for me to drive.

I am still alive, I made him home safe (Thank Buddha!) I quickly got into the hot shower to freshen up again. Thinking that lightening never strikes twice- It will all be fine. The rain was still pouring, but at noon I have a class to attend. Which means:

1. Water-proof makeup

A water proof eyeliner and mascara will prevent from smudging.
I use:

• water-proof Maybelline mascara
• Bobbi Brown eye-liner

I will leave the eye-shadow behind for a rainy day. Eyeliner and mascara will do!

2. Shorts and Flip-flops or Rain Boots)

It was very stupid of me wearing jeans today. It was soaked and very uncomfortable to wear it on a rainy day. I think shorts and flip-flops are perfect. But then, flip-flops are actually bad for your feet on a day like this. If you don’t wear rain boots you’re going to end up with soaked legs and feet all day. And nobody wants that. Due to my laziness, I will stick to flip flops for now!

3. Umbrella

Very important to own an umbrella! I have a pink one, and I love it. I’ve seen some people with cute designs of umbrella. I’ll consider of getting that one day.

4. Walk

I left my scooter behind and walked to school (which wasn’t too far away). I was safe and didn’t get too wet!

Tressa and her flip-flops, she was afraid to get her nice shoes wet. She also need to get a new pair of rain boots! Arthur says he will stick to his sneakers since flip-flops will look to sloppy for school.

I think girls with hairy armpits are plain gross-EW!  I’ve notice many girls in Asia hardly shave their legs or armpits. I think its silly to walk around wearing a nice tank top with hairy armpit. I mean, come on if you’re lazy to shave those bushy hair, might as well just stay at home- or wear something over to cover it!

Not only Asian girls are having this problem. American celebrities and models has been spotted with hairy armpits too! Below are some pictures of how ugly it is to hairy armpits. Totally disgusting!

Alright. It’s time to learn to shave!  If you are afraid to get red bumps and razor rash then you are probably not shaving it correctly! If you follow these steps you can enjoy having smooth armpits and get rid of those red bumps and razor rash.

Shaving Steps:

1. Always try to shave when you’re taking a bath or shower. The hot water will soften up the hairs and reduce the chances of getting a shaving rash, red bumps or soreness.

2. Apply shaving cream or gel and work up into a lather.

3. Then raise your arm, slowly slide the razor down the armpit until you have reached the bottom. Repeat this until all of the shaving cream has been removed. (Don’t forget to rinse the razor between each stroke!)

4. You can get a closer shave if you now shave in the other direction. Shaving up the armpit will lift the hairs at the base and give you a smoother shave. Repeat the shaving process but go up instead of down.

5. When drying yourself, don’t rub the parts you’ve shaved, because it will cause red bumps and soreness.

6. Apply moisturizer. Try and use a moisturizer that contains no perfume as this will prevent any possible soreness.

I don’t own anything purple until I got my first Christmas gift today- a purple lipstick. Not to be mean, but I hardly ever wear lipstick, and in my opinion I think purple shades are mysterious and a little rebellious. It’s like asking me to wear pink polka dots shirt with yellow shorts. Yes, I have seen people who want to be unique pulling of the look with purple lips. As for me… I’ll stick to my shinny lip gloss!

The new Moroccan club in Bangkok on Sukhumvi soi 12 threw a party for a great cause. The theme was “What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up.” The founder is Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005 and creator of party4charityasia.org. The party was held to encourage contribution towards the 108 Punna Project, which will help to build a library for orphans at the Wat Sakaew Foundation. The dress code for the event gave the freedom to be what we’ve always dreamed to be. (Such as a fire-fighter, a nurse, a politician, or a famous singer.)

The volunteers were well dressed and looking gorgeous in their outfits. One of the volunteers at the party, Eilidh MacQueen, dressed up as Marilyn Manroe. I thought she looked exactly like Marilyn Manroe! What about you, do you think Eilidh pulled of the look?

I’m gonna name this the “Sexy Clown Outfit.” No, she’s not wearing a wig, it is permanently dyed in three different colors, pink green and blue. (Notice the roots of her hair is showing. She should probably re-dye it?) Her exotic makeup matches her pink polka dot dress along with her bright pink socks and heels. Would you consider this outfit for your Halloween costume?

This next photo, I’ll name it the Barbie costume. Notice their big bow on the top of their heads matching their poofy dresses. I wouldn’t mind wearing the dress, but having a big ribbon on my head would be too much! But then again, for Halloween it’s fine to exaggerate yourself a little bit yea?
