Wearing wigs has been a common fashion trend throughout history for both men and women. Wearing of wigs have helped establish their social class, to hide the gray, to hide no hair or to simply try a new look.

Today, wigs are available various styles, lengths, and materials - including natural hair and synthetic. Wigs are not limited to the one style, but can be styled as you would your own hair. Add curls and updos one day, and the next day tease, comb, and pick to create the style of the day. Wigs can also be shampooed and conditioned.

Short or long and straight wigs tend to be easier to manage and tangle less frequently, than the long, wavy or curly wigs. However curly and waved wigs give a much more professionally styled look. No matter what style you choose, you can find it online.

I was just browsing on some fashion in Italy for their fashion week, and I thought most of the designers dress are just not something I’d buy. I mean, its over priced, doesn’t look comfortable, and bizarre looking! Maybe I will consider it for Halloween or a special dress up party, but definitely won’t wear in on a normal day. Here are some photos from the 2008 Italy,Milan fashion week:

This photo below, she looks like a panda wearing a fairy costume. I give it a thumbs down. What about you?

Italy Fashion Week

This one here, looks like something growing out from her dress. Would you really wear this out on a normal day? What’s the purpose of the spike coming out of her dress?

Italy Model Fashion Week

This orange funny look dress for Halloween too?Yeah, I am sure the color matches Halloween perfectly.

I don’t understand why all fashion shows has to be so complicated, and crazy looking clothing that most people wouldn’t wear in public. I guess fashion shows are competition to see who can make the most bizarre looking clothes. Whats your opinion on the run way designers? Do you think they’re wasting too much time and effort in designing fashion clothing that most people will not purchase? and most of us will not wear?

Chinese Asian Girl With Smokey Eyes

Does she look like someone to you? Or is it just the hair? She looks like Katie Holmes! Or the other way around? Remember just my recent post about Katie Holmes new hair cut and her new bangs? Well, I found out a Taiwanese star who also has the same hairstyle! Did Katie copy her? Just by looking at her bangs again, I think the bangs are a bit heavy for her delicate features, plus they’re covering up way too much of her face. As for the Asian girl, I think it looks better on her.  Do you think they look alike? (I think it’s just the hair that makes them look similar.) Who do you think looks better with this hair cut? This cute Asian girl, or Katie?

Katie Holmes New Hair Style

Everyone’s blogging about Katie Holme’s new hair style. I still like her old style better. I don’t like her bangs, even though it does make her face look smaller. But, I think without those bangs, her face looks brighter. She looks punkish with this new style, and without them she looks more lady, and mature like. What do you guys think of her new look?

Avril Lavigne Fashion Style Punk or Girly

Here on the left is a photo shoots of Avril with Citizen K. Avril decides to change her look and becomes more “girly” and no longer in her usual punk/rock style. Personally, I like the girly, sexy look better than her punkish style. Well, that’s cause I like that kind of look on me, but maybe you guys have different opinions. I never realize how gorgeous she is until I saw her photo shoot with Citizen K. I also love the below picture of her wavy hair! Ah, I’ve been talking about changing my hair-style since I don’t know when. I wonder when am I going to have time to go do something bout my hair?! Let me know what you guys think of Avril’s style?!

Sick Of My Hair

I am sick of my current hair style its just boring, and I swear I need to do something about it as soon as possible. I need a change, a fresh new look! What should I do with my hair? Should I cut it real short? Curl my hair? Dye my hair? Ugh! I’m frustrated, I don’t know whats going to look best on me.

I was browsing on the internet saw a before and after photo of Christina Ricci showing off in a light brunette bob after years of jet-black blogs. I really like her short, sexy new hair style. But I’m not sure if this hair would look good on me? But it does look gorgeous on her!

Asian Hair VS. Caucasian Hair

October 1, 2007 | Author: Judy | 313 Views | Email This Post Email This Post | Print this post Print this post

Did you know that we all have different types of hair? Especially when I’m an Asian, I see that I have totally different hair than Caucasians hair. I envy the color Caucasians have! But there was a study that discovered there are at least 5 basic differences between Asain and Caucasian hair. And here are the lists of why they are different.
Asian Black Hair

1) Number of Cuticle Layers
Cuticles are the protective “shingles” that guard the inner protein structure of your hair. Typical human hair has 5 to 10 layers of cuticles. Asian hair has more (closer to 10) than Caucasian (which has closer to 5). Asian cuticles are also wider, thicker and more densely packed.

2) Flatness of Cuticles
On Asian hair, the cuticles are laid down with at a steeper angle. Caucasian hair has flatter cuticles.

3) Distance Between Cuticles
The interval, or distance, between cuticle cells is narrower in Asian hair than in Caucasian hair.

4) How Hair Breaks
As Asian hair is stretched or pulled, the cuticles tend to break off in large pieces that keep their original shape. On the other hand, the cuticles of Caucasian hair tend to break into smaller fragments and fall off. In this sense, Caucasian cuticles are more fragile.

5) Why Hair Breaks
The cuticles of Asian hair tends to fall off because the adhesive that holds the cuticle cells together fails. In Caucasian hair, the adhesive holds better but the cuticle cell itself starts to break first.

Caucasian Hair

What does this all mean?
For the first time, scientists have proven that Asian hair has a more solid structure than Caucasian hair. This may account for the beautiful long, shiny look that so many Asian are known for. I think it also proves that Asians may need different hair care products than Caucasian.
