An interesting fashion created by a Taiwanese designer. What do you think of her creative outfits?

For the past few years fashion has been rocked by the creative einstein Christian Audigier. His designs have been worn by all well-known celebrities,includes - Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Mariah Carey, Mickey Rourke, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg and more. Christian has design brands such as  American Eagle Outfitters, Diesel, Lee, Levi’s, Liberto, Kookai, Von Dutch and Naf Naf. One of the hottest brand created by him today is Ed Hardy brand based on the work of Don Ed Hardy, Smet in unison with Johnny Hallyday, and his own namesake Christian Audigier. Below are some of the projects he has hand in:

Sometimes it is very difficult for girls to choose what to wear to go shopping. I believe the most important thing to remember is to be in your most comfortable outfit. Don’t worry, I’ve listed several ideas and steps for you to follow!

Fashion For Shopping

• Feel comfortable: Like I said, it is very important to feel comfortable when you are shopping. A nice t-shirt with jeans would be perfect!
• How’s the weather? If the weather is hot, then you know a sleeveless shirt with shorts will do!
• Accessorize: Try adding a few accessories to it. Do not over do it though, you’re only going shopping! It’s not a date, nor a fashion competition!
• Dress appropriately for your age: Wearing 6inches heel and a super mini skirt will not make you look much older than you are now. You should have fun with your own style and stay unique! Remember, you are going shopping…you don’t need to be in mini skirts. By wearing mini-skirts, you will just be pulling down your skirt the whole time.
• NO HEELS:Girls, you are not going to a club. Leave your dancing shoes at home. Something comfortable will do! (I’ll let you wear your flip-flops for a couple of hours)
• Make-up: No, you are not going to a wedding dinner, nor you are going on a fancy date. Limit your make-up. You may be sweating a little while shopping.

Do Wear:

A good example of what to wear on a day for shopping. Below is a photo of Brook in her casual blue terry cloth fabric dress from Victoria Secret, along with her new brown Miu-Miu Hand-bag. She matches her outfit with a pair of comfortable Thai-Style flip-flops. Brook is a fan of Victoria Secret

Because it’s clothes especially for women, so they always seem to fit just right, and for what it is, it’s relatively affordable.

Many teenage girls want to look pretty and thin like the top models on TV. In order to look like the super models, they believe that they would be happier and more successful if they were thin like the models in the front cover page of a magazine. Girls start to starve themselves, and avoid high-calorie foods and exercise constantly. And some people eat huge amounts of food, but they throw up soon after eating, which is what we call bulimia. Some may even take laxatives or diuretics (water pills) to keep from gaining weight. By using such cruel and unhealthy methods to loose weight is very harmful to your body.

What You Need To Know About Anorexic Nervosa?

• Anorexia nervosa’ means ‘loss of appetite for nervous reasons
• Involves excessive dieting and weight loss
• Obsessed with being thin.
• Believe they are fat even though they are thin.
• Anorexia nervosa occurs in 1% to 5% of the population.
• About 90% to 95% are females between ages 13 and 30. However, anorexia nervosa can also occur in males and people of all ages.

Famous People Died of Anorexia

Ana Carolina Reston: Brazilian model, who was 172cm tall and only weighed 40kg starved herself to death in 2006.

Margaux Hemingway: actress, model, suffered with bulimia

Heidi Guenthe: A ballet dancer, After being told by a theater company that at 5′5″ in height and 96 lbs in weight she was too chunky, she developed an eating disorder. She collapsed and died at the age of 22 due to complications from her eating disorder.

Maiara Galvao Vieira: A 14 year-old who weighed only 38kg was in the hospital for over a month, after having been in three other public hospitals and no one being able to diagnose te disease.

Eliana Ramos: having only to eat apples and tomatoes died at age of 21. Her grandmother found her dead in her bedroom.

Luisel Ramos: She was reported to have only lettuce leaves and diet coke three months before her death. She died of heart failure caused by anorexia nervosa.

Ways to stay slim and healthy

• Exercise Daily: this is the best way to stay thin. Exercise for about 15-30mins a day, doing any exercise that you enjoy most. Walking, jogging, yoga, swimming…etc.
• Always eat breakfast: Experts say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Skipping breakfast will eventually add extra calories to your body as you will end up binge eating more in the middle of the day.
• Switch to brown bread or whole wheat bread instead of white bread
• Start your lunch or dinner with a bowl of low calorie soup. So that you will not overeat later
• Avoid eating in front of television. You tend to eat more without your knowledge
• Reduce the intake of white food stuffs from your diet such as rice, sugar and salt
• Drink plenty of water. Drinking eight glasses of water is said to be healthy
• Instead of two large meals start eating three small meals a day

Today was another shopping day for me, and this time I chose to shop at Siam Square. It is located in Bangkok-a very popular shopping area among teenagers and young adults. Siam Square is a cluster of small inter-connecting streets filled with tiny boutiques selling hip clothes, shoes and all kinds of fashion accessories. You will find any types of clothing, from the trendiest fashion, to the most weird looking fashion.

While shopping at Siam with Brook today, I came across this really odd looking pants. The sign 250, which is about 8 U.S dollars (Cheap, but ugly). I don’t know who would ever wear that, but I couldn’t walk away without taking a photo of it. The photo is a little blurry, but If you look at it closely, you will see the long pants with black on one side and white on the other side. I mean, we all know that black and white matches perfectly, and it’s the freshest way to wear black and white is to pair a solid black top with a white bottom (skirts, shorts or jeans). BUT, when you have black on your right leg, and white and your other leg? It would look like a clown costume! Do you agree with me on this one?

Does that photo remind you have my previous post on leggings? How girls are in LOVE with them, and its worn by everyone? Well, leggings were really popular back in the 80’s and now it’s back and still in trend! All girls are crazy about leggings (even me), especially the capri length leggings. And, now It looks like guys are wearing tight leggings too? Hmm..I’m not too sure about that, it shows off too much of their skinny legs, and just does not look good at all! But, hey guys, would you really wear leggings under your shorts?

International School Uniforms

I didn’t have to wear uniforms when I was in elementary and middle school. However, uniforms only started because students were wearing clothing that were too revealing. The school that I went to started having strict dress code rules, and it was a “MUST” that we all followed. With such strict dress code rules, some students may attempt to subvert the system of uniforms by wearing their uniforms incorrectly or by adding prohibited elements such as large loose socks or badges. Many girls may shorten their skirts and boys may wear trousers about the hips, omit ties, or keep their shirts unbuttoned.

Up until I got into university in Taiwan, uniforms were no longer a part of my life.

Thailand School Uniform

Today, school uniforms are almost universal in the public and private school systems. Mainly for student’s who are still in elementary, middle and high school. School uniforms are commonly worn in Thailand and there is little difference as to grade level. Thai school uniforms usually are very basic. The same uniform is worn year round as there is no cold winter weather to contend with. From Primary school to high school, girls wear white middy blouse, dark blue skirt, and dark blue bows. However each schools has there own distinctive uniforms.

Popular University Uniform in Thailand

There are not too many universities now that requires student’s to wear uniforms. Surprisingly uniform carries on into university in Thailand. It is now a trend to wear uniforms even when you’re out of university. Usually its the white shirt (extra small shirt) and black knee length skirt. However, girls usually shorten their skirts and purchase extra small, tight shirt to show off their curves. Since all universities wears the same form of uniform, the only way to identify their school is by the pis, buttons and the belts they wear. Most girls are proud of their school, so they would wear their uniform everyday and even on holidays.

Japanese School Uniform

The Japanese word for uniform is seifuku. Universities in Japan does not require students to wear uniforms, however in some private women universities they may require students to wear them. Girl’s uniforms might include a gray pleated skirt and white blouse. The sailor outfit is often used for girls in middle school and high school Uniform changes by season, and occasion.

Popular School Uniform in Japan

Very few university in Japan requires to wear uniform. However, the most popular school uniform in Japan is called the sailor outfit. It is called a sailor girl uniform because the top part is shaped like the shirt the sailors wore in the old days.The top has a ribbon on it of different colors and shapes. The typical type is just a big bow in the front.The socks that people wear with the uniforms are usually navy or white. Navy knee socks are considered the best looking nowadays because it makes your legs look skinnier with the dark color.

• In Japan and Thailand, it is normal for uniforms to be worn outside of school areas.

Thai uniform (above) was not intended to be sexy. But the girls wear them so tight and short they end up being pretty sexy. The original skirt is a lot longer than after they tailored it.

No matter which University they goto, all of them wears the same white tight top with the short black skirt. However, to identify the schools, it usually says it on their pins or belt. As for shoes, they usually wear heels or sandals that matches their skirts. Girls also add some interesting accessories, such as earrings, or necklaces.

The Japanese uniform is looks totally different from Thai. It’s layers of another layer. The poofy white socks with the mini pleated skirts. Girl’s don’t mind wearing short skirts in the winter too. All they need is an extra scarf to keep them warm.

They don’t wear extra-small shirts, but they unbotton their buttons when teachers are out of sight.

Sometimes, Japanese girl’s like their long black socks to make sure people know that their legs are extremely white.

Since all girls are looking the same in uniform, magazines are helping students to create an outstanding look with their uniforms!
