Let’s see what the guys are wearing on the street of Taiwan. Walking around on the street of Taiwan, I see many fashionable guys. Although sometimes they try too hard, but some of them are OK. The first picture here is TKSC 22 year-old student from Taipei, wearing a “New York” brand hat from his girlfriend, with his red T-shirt from “Skatopia”, Denim from “Lee”, Shoe from “Lakai” and his back pack from “Obey”. I calculated an approximate of his whole outfit, which is around 4500 NT (150Dollars).

When did girls start wearing short mini skirts? I’m guessing it all started with Britney spears and Paris Hilton showing off their panties off to the world. And many girls wants to as popular as the Hollywood celebrities, so there mini skirts are worn by most girls now.

Well, actually thats part of it…it also started out in the 1966 by Mary Quant who was producing short waist skimming mini dresses and skirts that were set 6 or 6 inches above the knee. It wouldn’t be right to suggest she invented the fashion mini skirt. However, in 1965 she took the idea from 1964 designs by Courreges and liking the shorter styles she made them even shorter for her boutique Bazaar.

Now, mini skirts are worn because girls wants to get attention. Also I think because men provoke girls to do so. I think it’s perfectly fine for girls to wear mini skirts, but the question is “How to wear a mini skirt?”

1. Before you purchase your mini, decide on the right length. Your skirt should fall right below the thickest part of your leg. Never wear a skirt that is short enough that it shows your backside while you are standing up (I’ve actually seen that) or slightly bending over.

2. When to wear your mini skirt? Choose the appropriate time and place to wear.

3. Is your mini-skirt too small and tight on you? Your skirt should not be indecently short.

Now, lets hear what the men have to say:

Two nights ago, after work Jenny and I decided to take a trip to JingMing 1’st street in Taichung to do some Christmas shopping. JingMing 1st Street is Taichung’s best known attractions with my visitors from all over the world. It’s decorated and designed with its unique European-style cafe street-like ambiance. There are a lot of boutiques and shops selling lots of clothing, jewelry, beauty/health products, fashion accessories, handicrafts and art. When we were there, it was beautifully embellish with Christmas decorations that made it so romantic! We saw many couple on dates, enjoying their night listening to the live bands and chatting their night away~ There were too many things I wanted to get, but I could spend so little because I am saving for a trip I am going to this coming holiday. So, I got myself a “Southern breeze” Freshener (yes, i know it sounds boring, but its worth it). It smells like mix fruit, and my room is smelling real nice! If you guys ever get a chance to visit Taiwan, should check out JingMing 1’st street. JingMing 1st Street is conveniently located in the heart of Taichung’s “Little Europe” neighborhood, not far from JingCheng Road and TaiZhongGang Road, section 2.

While shopping I had to stop a couple of girls for my camera. So, the above picture is Shannon who is only 14 years old wearing hat from Gucci, Christmas top from Abercrombie& Fitch, Sweater from Cantwo, short white mini skirt from the market, shoe from T-3, and her luxury Gucci bag she got as a gift from Dad. I’m a little jealous here, she’s only 14 and already has a Gucci bag. Actually she told me she has at least another 6 different style of Gucci purses hid inside her closet!

Here, this is Jeon 22 year-old tourist who comes from Korea shopping at JingMing 1st street. At first she wouldn’t let me take her photo because she was so shy. (and also because she didn’t understand what I was saying. I need to learn some Korean now!) Since it was so hard to communicate with her, my International sign language came in handy. So this is what I got from her: Her top and scarf is from a Korean Store. Purple leggings from Zara. And her shoe from All Star Converse.

This weekend, I went up north and found some nice looking couples on the street that were dressed up pretty good looking. What was real interesting is that couple or friends who’s together would some how dress similar with each other. You’ll see what I mean after you see these pictures, and YOU be the judge, and let me know who wins this month’s street fashion style!

This first picture is Lana (left) 23 year old student and Chiao-ting (right) 25 year old on their way to see a movie. Next to her, Lana also wearing a pink Married To the Mob T-Shirt, Skirt: No brand, Pants: SASS, Flip-Flops: No brand (”I bought it at the night market!”), Shades: Milk Fed.

This next photo is a cute couple from Tai-chung county. Both 21 year-old students are wearing matching shirt! How cute yea? Her nickname Fish is wearing hat from Mania, T-shirt Santastic!, Jeans: Lowrys Farm, Bag: Agnes b, Shoe: VAN X X-Girl. I love her facial yoga expression!To her right, Den is also wearing a hat from Mania, T-Shirt: Santastic! and his shoe also from VANS x Thrasher.

“We usually match some how when we go out. We both love shopping for clothes!”

This next picture was my favorite! They were just so easy to spot on! Chou-Hsing 17-year old student. She bought all her clothes from Japan. (She even got her hair done in Japan!) To the left, Nicky who is also 17 purchase all his clothing from Japan. I love their bright orange hair, don’t you think they match real well together with it?

Just by looking at this photo of Kat Vod D, I don’t know where I should begin to talk about such colorful outfit! It is definitely hard to tell where her tattoo ends and where her outfit starts. Maybe she doesn’t need clothes, her tattoo covers it all right? Haha, not my style at all…what do you guys think?

Here, lets talk about men’s fashion. What style of clothing do you like your man best dressed in? Sporty looking? Casual? Or Formal looking? I went on a mission checking out fashion of the cute girls and boys at University. Ever wonder what Taiwanese students wear on a Monday morning? Lets check it out! The one here below, her name is Stella. She is wearing casual, comfortable outfit. Cute black halter top, with white jacket over it and a pair of red shorts. She tells me that she wants to be a model because she loves being shoot. What do you think of her outfit?

Almost there! Yes, I am really excited and looking forward to they day of Halloween! I don’t have any exciting plans for Halloween, but I know that it’s going to be fun watching the little kids dress up! Maybe I will join a few Halloween parties my friends invited me to. Anyways, so remember my appealing costume I talked about last week? Well, I figure the school isn’t going to allow me to dress up in my way too appealing lingerie, (I remember signing my contract that says No sexual harassment…so thats going to be for the club!) Oh, I found some costume on Costume Super Center! I was thinking about a couple costume for me and Rich, but it sucks so much that he isn’t going to be here. I still want to share with you what I found. This one below is called the “Fine Foxy Mama Couple” costume. I think Rich would look totally sexy in that outfit!:)

It seems like these old fashion clothes are all coming back! Check out America Ferrera wearing the 40’s style high waisted skirt. No, I am not a fan of high waisted jeans or skirts…they are just not my style, and NOT flattering at all. But, they do accentuate a woman’s curves. After all, I think perfect jeans and skirts shouldn’t be too high or too low. I mean, when it’s too low, the view of the butt crack isn’t too fascinating! Maybe its time to bring back the good ‘ole Levi Red Tabs!
