For several years, I’ve tried so many different kinds of razors, shaving cream and aftershaves lotion to see what I could do about this problem. I realized that Commercial shaving creams are not only expensive but it also contains harsh chemicals that are bad for you and can dry out your skin. Finally I chose to shave with Olive Oil! Yes, Olive Oil where it can be found in your kitchen.

What is Olive Oil?

Olive oil is a fruit oil obtained from the olive (Olea europaea; family Oleaceae), a traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin. Olive oil contains vitamin E, which is good for your skin.

Types of Olive Oil

If you don’t have Olive Oil, it’s not hard to purchase them. You do not have to use high quality olive oil. You can buy the inexpensive low grade olive oil that doesn’t taste very good from any local supermarket to shave with!

Instructions for Shaving with Olive Oil

1.Pour some olive oil into a cup or glass.

2.After showering, dry your legs and pour out the olive oil from the glass and rub into your skin.

3.Dip your razor in the olive oil then slowly slide the razor up your legs very lightly to avoid ingrown hair. Be sure to go slow if this is your first time.

4.Olive oil is a great lubricant and will protect your skin from nicks and cuts while you shave.

5.You won’t need to apply any aftershave lotion since the oil is naturally moisturizing your skin. But you can apply additional olive oil after you shave if you think your skin is too dry.

6.Once you’re finished shaving, you can help preserve the life of your razor and prevent it from rusting easily by dipping it into olive oil. The oil will lubricate the metal and naturally protect the surface.

•Wood Furniture Polish: Wipe with a teaspoon of olive oil and a soft rag. Add a bit of vinegar of citrus juice to bulk up the cleaning power, and add a fresh scent.

•Fingernails and Toenails: Use a bit of olive oil to moisturize cuticles, or mix oil and water and soak your hands before a manicure.

•Lubricate Measuring Cups and Spoons: Rub or spray olive oil on your measuring tools for easy clean-up of sticky substances like honey, grain mustards, and sugar syrups.

•Control hair frizz: Comb a bit of olive oil through dry hair to tame the frizz and flyaways on humid days or in the winter.

•Free a stuck zipper: Use a cotton swab to apply olive oil to the teeth of a zipper, then gently ease the tab down.

•Care for your kitty: Add a teaspoon of olive oil to your cat’s food to help prevent hairballs, and provide a shiny coat.

•DIY Lip balm: Mix olive oil and melted beeswax in a 1:1 ratio, with an essential oil for fragrance, and say goodbye to dry and chapped lips.

•Stop Snoring: Take a sip of olive oil before heading to bed. It might lubricate your throat muscles, and stop yourself, or your partner, from snoring.

•Shine stainless steel and brass: Rub a bit of olive oil on a clean rag to prevent streaks, corrosion, and tarnish.

•Exfoliate your face and hands: Rub your skin with olive oil, then scrub with sugar or coarse salt, and rinse.

•As you bathe: Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to your running bath water. You’ll be amazed when you towel off.

•Remove makeup: Dab a bit under your eyes, on your cheeks and forehead, then wipe with a damp cloth.

•Cure an earache: Very carefully, use a cotton swab to apply olive oil to the outside ear cavity to help with earaches and excess wax.

•Lice treatment: Apply olive oil to your youngster’s hair, and leave on for at least 40 minutes. Shampoo twice, and then apply a preventative.

•Stop a throat tickle: Take a sip of olive oil to stop the itchy flicker that is making you cough.

•Fix a squeaky door: Use a rag or cotton swab to apply olive oil to the top of a problematic hinge in your home or automobile.

•Polish a shoe: Rub down your shoes with just a spray of olive oil to maintain their shine.

•Personal Lubricant: Soften your skin. Rub olive oil daily on notoriously dry areas, such as your feet or elbows, especially after a shower, shaving, or waxing.

Bring your heel to a shoe repair, have the shoemaker place a piece of rubber  on the bottom of your heels. It’s very thin and you won’t notice the difference. But trust me,  It will stop  making those irritating noises.

1.      Make sure that your heels are fully on your feet. If they are not attached to your feet properly, it will become loose while you’re walking and that causes the loud clicking noises, and you could also lose your balance.

2.      While wearing high heel shoes, you should take shorter steps than usual, and as you bring each foot down have the heel touch the floor just slightly ahead of the ball of the foot. Keep your legs close together and walk slightly on your tiptoes.

It annoys me so much when I hear clacking heel noises. The past few weeks, the clacking noises from upstairs woke me up several times.  Follow these steps so that you don’t make any more annoying noises!

1.      Remember to always put your feet fully into your heels.

2.      Hold on to the railing or banister as you are walking down the stairs. Not only will it help you with your balance, it will prevent from making loud noises.

3.      Start to walk down the stairs, walking on the ball of your foot. This is the thick, flat part of your foot below your toes that you use when you are standing on tippy toes. Your heel should be slightly raised off of the stair itself.

4.      Take the stairs slow; don’t rush! Step down on one stair and wait a few seconds before you take the next step.

Leggings are beneficial- not only can you wear them in the winter to keep you warm, but they are also cool enough to wear it in the summer. Both men and women having been wearing various types of leggings for centuries. The Renaissance carried some lovely legging fashions, as did the buckskin leggings of the Native Americans and Colonial Americans.

Men still wear leggings as an additional layer of clothing in colder areas. Also, leggings existed in the military, because it would keep dirt and grime out of their shoes and provide ankle support (although the version is slightly different.

How To Wear Leggings

• Dress or tunic style. You’ll want a dress that doesn’t cling and show through the detail of the leggings underneath. Thicker jersey knits, spandex knit blends and mesh work best. A-line patterned styles with empire cuts and front-knots work particularly well because they’re forgiving on the hip, tummy and thigh area. Straighter shift styles work well for those with apple and rectangular body types.

• Dress or tunic length. If you have slim thighs, wear your dress/tunic as short as mid-thigh length and no shorter. If you’re leg-shy or carry a little extra on your thighs, wear your dress around the knee (either just above, on, or just below). Do not wear leggings without wearing an extra short top, or as a substitute for pants.

• Leggings length. I just showed you the types of length, and I like knee length best. If you have bigger clf muscle it is better to wear knee length leggings so that it won’t show too much of your muscle! Wearing them ankle length looks best paired with a high heel.

• Legging types. There are plenty of options to choose from. I prefer darker colors, like black since it will match with most outfit. However, jeans type leggings are also in the trend now! And as you can see the metallic colors are also a good pair for a night out clubbing!

• Shoe options. The look works with both flats and heels! If you are short, its best to choose high heels with your leggings. However, ballet flats, wedges, sandals, flip-flops also look really good with leggings!

If you saw the fashion shows of nations, you probably noticed that there was a little bit of everything. Some people like Japan took the classic suit with a crisp white shirt (no tie). Seems like a statement that says “we can dress western and look good doing it!”

Do men really wear makeup? It seems like some guys really do apply make up since the “Guyliner” and “Natural Lashes for Men product” are out in stock. The fake lashes are basically the same as the ones they make for women, but just a little more natural looking and with a virtually clear strip along the base, so there’s no tell-tale false lashline.

Instead of buying women’s cosmetic make-up, there’s an eye-liner especially made for guys.
