What do Men Think of Girls in Mini Skirts?
When did girls start wearing short mini skirts? I’m guessing it all started with Britney spears and Paris Hilton showing off their panties off to the world. And many girls wants to as popular as the Hollywood celebrities, so there mini skirts are worn by most girls now.
Well, actually thats part of it…it also started out in the 1966 by Mary Quant who was producing short waist skimming mini dresses and skirts that were set 6 or 6 inches above the knee. It wouldn’t be right to suggest she invented the fashion mini skirt. However, in 1965 she took the idea from 1964 designs by Courreges and liking the shorter styles she made them even shorter for her boutique Bazaar.
Now, mini skirts are worn because girls wants to get attention. Also I think because men provoke girls to do so. I think it’s perfectly fine for girls to wear mini skirts, but the question is “How to wear a mini skirt?”
1. Before you purchase your mini, decide on the right length. Your skirt should fall right below the thickest part of your leg. Never wear a skirt that is short enough that it shows your backside while you are standing up (I’ve actually seen that) or slightly bending over.
2. When to wear your mini skirt? Choose the appropriate time and place to wear.
3. Is your mini-skirt too small and tight on you? Your skirt should not be indecently short.

Really short mini skirts are very sexy, just a glimpse of butt cheek when walking is really hot. Also very short skirts worn with hold ups/thigh highs is hot, especially when the girl sits down and crosses her legs.
Skirts are no shorter now than they were in the 1970′s (in the UK least) – except that was before thongs and so lots of panty flashing back then!

Okay, I wear mini skirts sometimes but not a lot. When I do wear them it’s not because I am looking for sex. I am 21 years old and I want to be able to dress my age I have plenty of time for long skirts in the future. Ugh, it’s sick that men think women are all either considered to be a sex object or they’re not. Like what ever happened to being a human being before a sexual object. If I saw a guy without a shirt on and he had big muscles and all that, I wouldn’t just assume he’s looking to have sex. People need to stop being animals, everything isn’t about sex. I think nearly all girls and women below say 50 look great in mini skirts.
It doesn’t mean they have to be treated in a bad way. It’s just a way of confirming you are an attractive female who men will admire.

im wearing mini skirts a lot, and what i find annoying is how rude men actually are. when you guys say they look ‘hot’ or ‘fit’ it just gets the girls big headed. would you not rather be called beautiful or gorgeous or precious than hot, fit, or sexy. i know what i would choose.
I’m the odd ball. I believe that females should not wear mini-skirts and I’m 26. If a person wears a mini skirt, they would expect to receive unwanted attention from guys. That’s just how guys think. So I do wear my skirts a little longer, mostly knee length, because I want guys to respect me, think I’m decent and if they are truly interested, they will want to get to know me for me, not my body.
Haha, I’m 17, but I’m constantly told I look 12/13, so it’s pretty impossible for me to look sexy XD However there is a right and wrong way to wear a mini. The shorter the skirt, the higher my socks, and the more likely I’ll wear a jacket (not an option in Summer). Also, your attitude will affect how others see you. If you are a sweet an demure girl, people are less likely to think of you as a sex object. I believe that’s why it’s a huge fashion staple in Asia! XD You can be sweet and sexy
At least here in NYC, respect is certainly hard to come by. People are always paying attention to actions, words, and especially how one dresses. If a woman past the age of let’s say 21 is walking around in a mini skirt, most people would think, why would she be wearing that?
She knows that when guys do look at her they will ignore her and judge her maturity level, or at the worst assert their belief that she amounts to nothing more than a toy.
If a woman says she wears a mini skirt because she’s comfortable in it, most people would think she’s not worth the genetic material used to make her. There are plenty of other clothes which people would moat definitely find comfortable.
Just to be clear, not saying it’s right for anyone to view someone as an object because of any reason, however, its unrealistic to say she can expect to be respected.

In my country very rare people are wearing mini skirt and short shorts 10 years ago, now a days little more. I can’t even say atlease 0.001% girls now wearing mini skirt but I never seen any girls wearing to show off her panty. Up to that I’m really happy a
t lease they have sense to realize their self. When I went to abroad for the first time I don’t want to mention which country. There almost 60% of the girls wearing mini skirt or very short shorts, I was shocked, of cause I enjoyed very much as a boy, usual weakness.. When you are child it’s ok, because it won’t make others think about you badly. But when you come to major, you know what is right and wrong, you know how to respect your self. Girls,,,, boys nature make them think about you badly when they see you on mini skirt, some of you told that your boy friend said that is beautiful, and many boys even say, me too..

The only people at my school who wear short skirts and short shorts and complain about when boys stare at them are the idiot feminist. I don’t care what other people wear, but the girls who show alot of skin should expect to get male attention. I mean, if you have your butt hanging out, you obviously want attention or are desperate to get laid. Also, most people who wear short skits don’t do it in a stylish manner. They often look trashy. The skirt is too short, they wear nothing under it, and they wear low cut tops, too. I should have mentioned this earlier, but at my school the girls who wear revealing clothing think that it’s liberating. I don’t think they realize that boys see them as sex objects. When males of any age see something hanging out for free, they will look. It is in their nature, and women need to start understanding they cannot change this, no matter how perverted it is. I think that if you wear revealing clothes, you are asking for attention from males. Which isn’t all that bad if that is what you want. If you are wearing it because it is “comfortable” or ” a way to express female freedom”, then learn to deal with creepy looks, or stop dressing like this.
If it’s not long enough to cover your cookies, throw it away. Put some clothes on. Modest is Hottest!!!
I’m in high school and am 15 and I usally wear skinny jeans but sometimes I do wear short shorts and skirts, mostly in the summer, but I don’t wear them to attract boys. I wear them because they make me feel confident with my body! I’m athlitic and I work hard on my body because I like the feeling of knowing that I, not any boys, can make myself feel and looking amazing! I don’t think wearing a mini skirt is sluty at all, ya if your butt cheek is hanging out it is, but all my friends arn’t like that at all. Also I’m not lesbo iv had plenty of bfs. I just don’t know why it’s such a big deal about what girls wear. I think we should all take a look on how guys act and treat girls instead.

I never really saw a problem with it ever. Even when I was a hardcore christian. Although, I myself, would never wear short skirts at that time. I would never see anything under the girl’s skirts and they seemed very tasteful. I’m not a male and not a lesbian, so maybe this is why it doesn’t bother me. Honestly, I never wore a skirt(long or short) outside of church but men still look at my butt intensely while I walk up the stairs, especially. I love minis, as long as the girl doesn’t have thin legs or high heels (looks like a chicken walking). My father says respectable middle-aged ladies are properly dressed these days in skirts that no prostitute could have worn when he was young. Fashions, fashions.

I think appeal of a nice dress is from natural beautiful shape and being fit more than anything. Appeal arising from being able to see generally physically fit/active, healthy and take care of self, and comfortable in own skin. Your body is the greatest thing you’ll ever own. Associate fitness with doing fun things like dancing tennis etc, being young amiable outgoing sociable and fun. Especially when a matching personality genuinely amiable fun and down to earth, all round good person. A dress can be formal (wedding, dinner date, college or work, etc), casual (ie movie, concert, art festival, club etc), or for comfort (sun dress is very cool and light, just like a sleeveless shirt for a guy etc). Dress doesn’t have to be too short either.
Of course shorter is sexy and more controversial lol, which is why most high schools etc don’t allow them if so many inches above knee etc. Never had rules about it in college, and never heard of any problems about it either. A lot of girls wore them too. Mini skirts have been around for as long as I can remember. It’s a social norm, just like guys go topless on beaches.
I mean in terms of fashion a dress is so simple, just a little bit of fabric cut right. But you have to admit it looks so stylish and sharp, naturally beautiful!

In Bhutan thou we respect our national dress Gho & Kira, wearing out of fashion has no restriction. Girls wear short shorts, mini skirts, sleeveless top, we boys never behold bad on them. I personally feel it’s no harm to herself and society.

I’m 24yrs old, and have a top heavy figure although slim in the waist with decent thighs and legs and so i have always worn a micro miniskirt. Of course the blokes make comments.
