UmbrellasÂ
The thought of spring rain is synonymous with the image of a sea of black umbrellas. Take another look at that deluge of black umbrellas, except this time add a bright red, orange, or coral umbrella. When you think about it that way, doesn’t everything seem a little less gloomy? The entire scene is just a little bit more cheerful – I think I just caught you smiling!
Color, color, color! Find a cute umbrella that you are going to want to open up on those rainy days but make sure it’s a sturdy and well made. Don’t be a victim of umbrella dysfunction! Invest in a quality umbrella. Look for one with a sturdy wooden or rubber handle that will resist cracking more than the cheaper, plastic handles. Also, make sure the ribs are sturdy and will not buckle and turn inside out at the slightest gust of wind.
Rain coats
With rain coats you can’t go wrong with a classic trench style but do it with a twist. A bright pink, red or teal trench has the tailoring of a classic but the color updates the look and gives it that extra punch of individuality. It serves its purpose of keeping you completely dry while still looking smashing.
Bags
A waterproof handbag or tote is a must when it comes to rainy weather. Water is the ultimate enemy of cute handbags and everything they hold. A bag made out of waterproof material such as nylon is always a good start; protect the contents of your bag by choosing one with a zippered closure is. A handbag is one of the greatest places to get a little wild. Go crazy with color, patterns, and details.
Footwear
Rainy days are dreary enough; brighten up your day from the ground up. The latest trend splish-splash footwear are brightly and colorfully-pattered Wellingtons. They are a lot like the rubber boots you probably wore as a kid, except with way more kick. Wearing these boots fashionably is not as tricky as it might seem; they key is keeping the rest of your outfit simple and casual. Forget about wearing brightly polka dotted or bright striped rubber boots with a business suit. Find a cute pair of jeans or a summery skirt that’s at least mid-thigh length. If you want to wear a more professional look but you still want the practicality of a rubber boot, go for a Burberry tartan patterned boot that you can show off while still appearing professional.

You can tuck the bottom of your pants neatly into your boots or you can roll them up to create cuffs that fall just at the top of the boots. You could also wear your pants over top of the boots but then you run the risk of soaking the bottoms of your pants, plus you don’t get to show off your hot, new boots.
