Instead of getting rid of your old bras, learn how to be more fashionably green by turning your colorful bras into useful bra-purses. It’s unacceptable to donate worn bras and wasteful to throw them away. Therefore, many people are enjoying the creativity and eco-trendy process of creating unique and fashionable purses with their used bras.
It’s really simple, just follow these simple steps and you’ll have a nice handy purse of your own!
1. Bra
2.Ribbon fringing or other trims and decoration (up to you!)
3.Hot clue or craft glue
4.Scissors
Start by removing the straps from the cup.
Keep the cups together if you have the type of bra that allows it. If you separate the cups, simply glue them back together along the wire line.
Glue the cups together to form the pouch part of the purse. This bra was slightly open-cupped (deep plunge line) so it was glued up the side to form a deeper pouch.
Glue the straps back on to form the handles. This can be short or long depending on the bag style. Use the actual bra straps to keep the purse “Bra Looking” or use a ribbon or a cord instead. Attach them to the top of the bra where the straps would normally sit.
Finally, you can embellish your new bag by gluing on a variety of trims, ribbons, and sequins to your desired style.
Did you know that there’s a bra travel bag that will keep your bra fit and non-squashed while traveling ? The bra travel bag will keep your padded bra’s in shape. It fits up to 6 bras!
